Requires a baccalaureate degree in nursing from an accredited School of Nursing and three years of related experience as a registered nurse.

  • Clinical Coordination and Scheduling of Radiology & Interventional Radiology clinic and outpatient procedures.
  • Utilizes a variety of sources to determine the patient's clinical condition, identifies available resources, and participates in planning to meet patient needs.
  • Triage of incoming phone calls from complex patients experiencing medical problems.
  • Attends IR Outpatient Clinics with the provider team.
  • Work with a dynamic team of nurses who support each other throughout the day to provide optimal patient care & coordination
  • Coordinate and communicate with health care team colleagues throughout the day Leadership, Physicians, Nurses, Technologists, PACU’s, Child Life, Anesthesia, Referring Providers an Coordinators, and others. Provide expertise and guidance as the Specialty Nurse expert.
  • Coordinates interdisciplinary care for IR patients from pre-admission through post discharge.
  • Conducts rounds and provides written summaries for each patient for use by the physician, nurses, and technologists for morning conference, morning huddles, PACU, and the multidisciplinary team during patient care.
  • Facilitates scheduling of the appropriate consultations, testing, and procedures.
  • Provides patients with education and pre-operative instruction.
  • Works collaboratively with the team to design and promote quality improvement activities (clinical, financial, operational) to benefit patient care and achieve unit goals.
  • Leads a unit committee and/or participates in departmental committee.

  • Requires strong critical thinking and organizational skills, as well as the ability to multi-task.
  • Requires a strong clinical knowledge base and excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Requires ability to establish working relationships that foster safety, excellence in care, and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Requires ability to analyze, synthesize, and summarize information to facilitate decision making regarding patient care.
  • General computer expertise is required. Programs used: EPIC, Teams, Outlook, and others.

Who Should Apply:

  • BSN is required from an accredited school of nursing program.
  • 3 years of RN experience.
  • Active Maryland Board of Nursing (MBON) or Compact State Registered Nursing license is required.
  • CPR/BLS certification required. AHA, Red Cross, or Military Training Network accepted.

Salary Range: Minimum 42.34/hour - Maximum 65.62/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
